The VPN bundle enables customers to use one part number to order a Cisco router with a VPN-optimized configuration that integrates all the necessary VPN components at an optimized price compared with ordering each component separately. This bundle is ideal for main office headend site-to-site VPNs that support customers' extranets or intranets. This Cisco 7200 VPN bundle provides best-in-class VPN services by combining exceptional modularity and scalability of the Cisco 7200 VXR Series, an unparalleled number of high-touch IP services of Cisco IOS Software network services, and high-performance hardware-assisted encryption and compression of the VPN Acceleration Module (VAM). The combination of these three components creates an ideal VPN solution for the enterprise headend linking to intranets and extranets. The 7206VXR400/VPNK9 bundle is best suited for high-bandwidth, site-to-site VPN services where customers want the ability to expand the number of interfaces in the future. This bundle contains the six-slot Cisco 7206 VXR chassis and has VPN performance up to 145 Mbps and a large number of VPN tunnels - up to 3000 (upgradeable to 5000 tunnels with an additional 256 MB of memory).
