Used Cisco Routed WAN Management Solutions

Product Overview

The Routed WAN Management Solution (RWAN) offers a collection of powerful network management applications for configuring, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting the complexity associated with managing router devices in a wide area network (WAN). Its traffic tools can access full RMON statistics collected via Cisco`s previously offered WAN probes or equivalent WAN probes offered by NetScout Systems.

The Routed WAN Management Solution can be deployed "standalone" or "alongside" your existing NMS products. This reduces the complexities related to understanding multi-dimensional, cross product prerequisites. This product can be used to create a basis for your Management Intranet, its framework offers an integrated, web based access point to enterprise management tools and offers a 'load-n-launch` interface to popular NMS products and best-of-breed point tools without being tied to proprietary APIs.

The following applications are included in the Routed WAN Management Solution offering:

  • Access Control List Manager (ACL)

  • Internet Performance Monitor (IPM)

  • nGenius Real-Time Monitor (RTM)

  • Resource Manager Essentials (RME)

  • CiscoView (CD-One)

  • CiscoWorks Management Server (CD-One)

nGenius Real-Time Monitor

nGenius Real-Time Monitor is a comprehensive collection of network traffic monitoring and troubleshooting application providing WAN administrators with early visibility into network issues and problems before they become critical or cause degradation.

  • Used in conjunction with Cisco`s previously offered WAN Probes, RTM TD provides excellent tools for monitoring data, voice and VPN link performance and utilization

  • Assists in troubleshooting and isolating problems in the network with sophisticated packet capture and decode analysis

  • Provides an easy to use web-based interface to easily monitor and graph real-time and historical network performance

Internetwork Performance Monitor

Internetwork Performance Monitor is a network response time and availability troubleshooting application that enables WAN administrators to proactively troubleshoot network response times utilizing instrumentation inside the devices on the network.

  • Provides increased visibility into actual round trip response times between key Cisco IOS based devices on the network

  • Reports the responsiveness of WAN connection to determine where bottlenecks are.

  • Provides real-time analysis of end-to-end hop delays

  • Provide information useful in optimizing VPN environments

  • Web accessible real-time and historical reports

Resource Manager Essentials

Resource Manager Essentials is a powerful suite of web-based network management solutions for small to large scale Enterprise networks. RME simplifies network management, handling many of the time-consuming administrative tasks associated with managing a network.
