Telecom: T1 Line Repeaters Mini-Repeater

Formerly manufactured by Alcatel, Charles Industries 239 Mechanics Mini-Span Line Repeaters are available in two models:

621155 Low-Current Mini T1 Line Repeater

The 621155 line repeater regenerates the attenuated and degraded signal presented to its input by an intervening T1 span section.  The repeater consists of two identical T1 Digital Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) regenerators, one for each direction of transmission, with common power feed circuitry.  It operates on 60 mA of current and drops approximately 8 V (0.5 W).

The repeater is equipped with two slide switches for THRU or LOOP powering and standard/common (STD/COM) or Output Separate/Separate (OS/SEP) outputs. STD/COM is selected when passive fault filters are used (double-ended interrogation).  OS/SEP is selected when amplified fault filters are used (single-ended or looped interrogation).

621156 Mini T1 Line Repeater

The 621156 line repeater consists of one dual PCM regenerator, which functionally is two DS1 pulse regenerators; surge and lightning protection; and the option switches for power configuration and fault locating.

The repeater has two provisionable options; a power option and a fault locating option.  These options are set by switches on the unit.  The power option selections are THRU and LOOP.  The fault locating selections are STD/COM and OS/SEP.
