The 621155 line
repeater regenerates the attenuated and degraded signal presented to
its input by an intervening T1 span section.
The repeater consists of two identical T1 Digital Pulse Code
Modulation (PCM) regenerators, one for each direction of
transmission, with common power feed circuitry.
It operates on 60 mA of current and drops approximately 8 V
(0.5 W).
The repeater is
equipped with two slide switches for THRU or LOOP powering and
standard/common (STD/COM) or Output Separate/Separate (OS/SEP)
outputs. STD/COM is selected when passive fault filters are used
(double-ended interrogation). OS/SEP is selected when amplified fault filters are used
(single-ended or looped interrogation).
