Mini-Mux 840 84T1/63E1 to OC-3/STM-1 Multiplexer

Mini-Mux 840 84T1/63E1 to OC-3/STM-1 Multiplexer

Charles Industries' Mini-Mux 840 combines the functionality of three complete M13 Multiplexers with an OC-3 (STM-1) Add/Drop Multiplexer.  At only 1 rack unit high, the Mini-Mux 840 delivers 84 T1/63E1s from a single OC-3 (STM-1) and continues Charles Industries' tradition of providing the densest broadband multiplexing solutions available.

The Mini-Mux 840 is ideal for mass termination of OC-3 (STM-1) signals, highly efficient intra-office transport of T1s/E1s, or anywhere space is at a premium or low power consumption is a must.  UPSR ring deployment is also supported along with 5 different multiplexing/mapping alternatives, each of which is configurable through software.

For applications that require fewer T1 drops, the Mini-Mux 840L economically supports OC-3 to 28 T1/21E1.  This is perfect for remote nodes on an OC-3 ring that require 28 or fewer T1s.  In multi node ring, the head end node is commonly the Mini-Mux 840 to aggregate all 84 T1s, while the remote sites leverage the Mini-Mux 840L to drop up to 28 T1s each.

NEW!

The Mini-Mux 840 Remote Terminal provides an all-in-one multiplexing solution ideal for multi-tenant cell site deployments and other backhaul applications. This outdoor enclosure includes an integrated Mini-Mux 840L and features terminal strip connections, power protection, and optional battery backup.
