Terminal or add/drop
operational modes are supported and programmability for each
of the drop signals provides maximum flexibility.
Unlike other
solutions, the Mini-Mux 155 supports both T3 and STS-1
connectivity. Each of the 3 drop ports can be configured
for T3 or STS-1 through a simple configuration choice.
The STS-1 mode supports VT1.5-mapped tributaries, providing
compatibility with true SONET services. SDH
compatibility is also supported with an STM-1 configuration
choice. The Mini-Mux 155 is the only 1 RU OC-3 mux
supporting all topologies, including SONET rings. A
Mini-Mux 155 version with only T3 connectivity is also
available.
