The ADTRAN OS is a robust operating system that delivers state-of-the-art
functionality in two unique product feature packs: Standard and Enhanced
The Standard Feature Pack is the default operating system and ships as the
standard configuration on every NetVanta 3000 platform. The Enhanced Feature
Pack adds additional functionality to the Standard Feature Pack and can either
be added at the time of original purchase or purchased as an Upgrade at a later
date. Upgrade Process
An Upgrade Key will be issued in an
Upgrade Certificate which customers receive after purchasing a Feature Pack
Upgrade. This key is used to upgrade the firmware access privileges on the web
for a given NetVanta serial number. The key can only be used one time and is
applied to only one hardware serial number.

to Upgrade their NetVanta 3000 Series, here is a summary of the ADTRAN OS
Version 5.x Enhanced Feature Pack.
Enhanced Feature Pack:
Includes ADTRAN OS Standard Feature Pack functionality
Adds support for IPSec-based VPN tunnels with DES/3DES/AES encryption
Compatible with all IPSec compliant devices; including the NetVanta 2000
Series and the NetVanta VPN Client
VPN tunnels depend on platform: 5 tunnels for NetVanta 3200, 3205, and 3205
DC, and 100 tunnels for NetVanta 3305
Internet Key Exchange (IKE) and X.509 Digital Certificates
XAUTH including AAA, RADIUS, and RSA SecurID
(Please note: ACES
maintenance packages do not entitle the product the right to a Feature Pack
Upgrade.
