Adtran Frame Relay DSU/CSUs

ADTRAN offers a wide array of products that function as a frame relay DSU/CSU. These products range from the DSU Series to the Total Access and TSU Series to the ATLAS and NetVanta 3000 Series. Each series offers uniquely different features over the other.

ATLAS
The ATLAS Series of IADs offers the highest capacity and most advanced set of networking services. From a single platform, ATLAS can support multiple technologies including T1, T3, ISDN, IP routing, and Frame Relay. IT managers and network engineers of small, medium and large enterprise networks may choose ATLAS for its ISDN conversion and oversubscription features, T1 Inverse Multiplexing, ISDN PRI/BRI switching, multiple T1/PRI DACSing and grooming, Frame Relay concentration/switching, compressed voice, T3 applications, and videoconferencing.

This multi-T1/PRI enterprise platform converges voice, data, video, and Internet traffic through dynamic bandwidth allocation, T1 Inverse Multiplexing, circuit switching, and packet routing. The ATLAS 550 is designed for the small-to-medium networks with one to 18 T1/PRI ports, while the ATLAS 830 is designed for medium-to-large networks that require up to 34 T1/PRI ports or a T3. The ATLAS 890 supports up to 64 T1/PRI ports or a T3 and can be used in networks that require full system redundancy.

For global applications, the ATLAS Series also offers a range of interfaces including E1, ISDN PRA and BRI S/T, along with support for Net-3 and Net-5 Euro-ISDN protocols.

DSU
The DDS Series of products offers a wide range of high performance, cost-effective DSU/CSUs. The ADTRAN DSU family of products includes standalone and rackmount products that incorporate many different features like SNMP management, automatic dial backup, auto-rate adaption, user-slectable options, external DTE master circuit clock, as well as weekend and time of day lockout options.

IQ Series
The IQ Series from ADTRAN provides intelligent Frame Relay traffic management so users can make the most of existing bandwidth. This series includes features ranging from performance monitoring and traffic shaping to standard Frame Relay circuit management and troubleshooting. This series includes the IQ 310, an intelligent, managed Frame Relay DSU/CSU that provides visibility and control while allowing users to enjoy the monetary savings of Frame Relay networks. The IQ 710 provides application layer management and control.

These products provide modular network interface options for 56/64K, T1/FT1, and T1/FT1 with DSX-1 voice capability. N-Formant, an embedded web-based Java applet, provides a graphical configuration interface and real time statistics ranging from network and PVC frame throughput to response and utilization.

Then with N-Form, ADTRAN?s comprehensive web-based network management system, SLA verification, historical data, and trend analysis are readily available.

NetVanta 3000 Series
For more than five years, ADTRAN has designed and manufactured various products with routing technology, and has installed more than 100,000 units in the networks of service providers and corporate customers worldwide. Now with the new NetVanta 3000 Series, ADTRAN offers a complete solution for access routing and wide area connectivity in a single, compact package. Perfect for Internet access, public and private Frame Relay, leased line connections, and Virtual Private Networking (VPN). These full-featured, low-cost, access router platforms include an integral DSU/CSU, a stateful inspection firewall, QoS for delay sensitive traffic like VoIP, DSX port for PBX connectivity, IPSec VPN, and various PPP disaster recovery options. Easily managed using a recognizable command line interface (CLI), the NetVanta 3000 Series fits seamlessly into your existing network and is backed by ADTRAN's standard 5-year warranty with unlimited telephone support.

T1 CSUs
A full line of T1 products from ADTRAN provides termination options ranging from economical to full-featured. ADTRAN's T1 CSU and single-port DSU/CSUs, many of which are offered in both standalone and rackmount configuratons, offer a T1 termination solution without the cost of additional features. ADTRAN's full-featured single port DSU/CSU, the TSU ESP, provides optional SNMP management and dial backup for an advanced network access solution.
