Summit 400-48t was designed to support evolving applications with exceptional Quality of Service (QoS), low latency, exceptional resiliency and line-rate performance for the full range of applications on a converged network. Summit 400-48t provides high throughput along with 10 gigabit uplinks for unparalleled performance in a compact one rack unit format.
Summit 400-48t can be stacked together with the other members of the Summit 400 series switch family using high bandwidth UniStack™ stacking technology from Extreme Networks thereby bringing many of the advantages of a chassis-based solution to a stack of fixed switches. Summit 400-48t provides high availability to keep users connected, network intelligence to support new services and investment protection through advanced upgradeable technology.

Summit 400-48t has 48-port 10/100/1000BASE-T and 4-port 1000BASE-X SFP ports. With its tri-speed Gigabit Ethernet interface as well as optional dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Summit 400-48t provides universal connectivity.
Summit 400-48t has non-blocking switching fabric and offers wire-speed Layer 2/Layer 3 switching for all ports with QoS and security features such as hardware based Access Control Lists (ACLs). With its rich Layer 2-4 intelligence, Summit 400-48t meets variety of requirements at the edge of the converged enterprise network.
