The 3COM 3CNJPSL you're interested in is a: Required for LANs without Power over Ethernet capabilities; powers a single Network Jack or IntelliJack™ switch.
Portable Local Power for Network Jacks
The 3Com® Network Jack AC Power Supply powers an individual Network Jack or IntelliJack™ Switch from a local wall outlet.
This power supply is required if your LAN does not have Power over Ethernet. Or you can use it to test and configure individual Network Jack or IntelliJack™ products during setup, prior to powering up the device.
- Plugs into the Network Jack or IntelliJack™ product at the wall; transforms standard AC power into low-voltage DC
- Enables a 3Com Network Jack (NJ100, NJ200) and IntelliJack Switch (NJ105, NJ205, NJ220, NJ225) to forward power to another IEEE 802.3af-compliant device
- Network Jacks and IntelliJack Switches (with the exception of the NJ225 FX) can also be powered by the 3Com SuperStack® 3 Switch 4400 PWR (3C17205), 3Com Power over Ethernet Multiport Midspan Solution (3CNJPSE24), or the 3Com Power over Ethernet Single-Port Midspan Solution (3CNJPSE)
- The Network Jack NJ100 can also be powered with 3Com Ethernet Power Products (3C10220, 3C10222) for 3Com NBX® telephones
