The 3Com® OfficeConnect® Wireless 11b Cable/DSL Gateway is an
affordable and easy-to-use small office solution that lets wireless laptop and
wired PC users securely share a single broadband Internet connection at speeds
up to 11 Mbps at distances up to 100 meters (328 feet). Supporting up to 253
(128 wireless) users, the Wireless 11b Gateway is designed for small but growing
offices, branch offices, and home offices. And because it is Wi-Fi certified,
the gateway works with other Wi-Fi compatible equipment.
The 3Com
OfficeConnect Wireless 11b Cable/DSL Gateway includes many of the IP routing and
firewall privacy features of a full-scale router or firewall, at a fraction of
the price. Among the multiple robust security features are stateful packet
inspection and Hacker Pattern Detection firewall, allow/deny access control
lists, URL or keyword filtering, SSID Broadcast Disable, and MAC filtering.
256-bit WPA and 40/64-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption protect the privacy of
wireless transmissions. An intuitive web interface, simple setup wizards, preset
defaults, and a wireless profile export feature simplify setup and
use.
The award-winning OfficeConnect family provides a broad range of
high quality small-office products, including LAN switches and hubs, access
points, gateway routers and firewalls, and PC cards and network adapters.
Four 10/100 Ethernet LAN ports with Auto MDI/MDIX provide wired LAN
connectivity; up to 253 (128 wireless) users can share the same cable or DSL
