The multi-standard support preserves existing wireless network investments while
accommodating the latest technologies. To protect wireless connections, the
access point supports 256-bit WPA encryption for high-level security and
40/64-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption for legacy users.
The OfficeConnect
Wireless 11a/b/g Access Point is an intelligent choice for first-time wireless
users, offering a host of security and convenience features for smaller office
environments. The access point supports up to 128 wired and wireless users,
allowing plenty of room for growth. It works with the 3Com OfficeConnect
wireless PC and PCI Cards to create a powerful, high-speed all-wireless network
in minutes. Installation is quick and easy: plug the access point into a power
source, and it's ready for use, typically no manual configuration is required.
To speed setup, administrators can copy a single configuration to other access
points on the network. Once installed, dynamic rate shifting and Clear Channel
Select features keep connections clear and reliable.
