routers The 3ComŽ Router 5000 family delivers flexible, cost-effective
routing in modular rackmount or desktop platforms for the medium enterprise to
small office. A selection of Smart Interface Cards (SICs) and Multi-function
Interface Modules (MIMs), as well as 10/100 BASE-T and serial
(synchronous/asynchronous) ports, provide scalable, efficient, and secure
network operation.
These routers provide high-speed processors, support
for converged voice, data, and video, and deliver advanced security and control
features. Industry standard protocols enable easy integration into your existing
network.

Router 5680, a rackmount modular router, comes equipped with eight MIM
(Multi-function Interface Modules) slots that hold LAN and WAN interface modules
for added flexibility in adapting your network to your immediate and future
business needs.

Router 5640 is a rackmount unit which comes equipped with four MIM slots for
flexible adaptability for your network.
