Affordable, Compact Switching for Small Offices
3Com® OfficeConnect® switches offer economic flexibility in a convenient
form factor, with a choice of 5, 8, or 16 10/100 and 8 or 5 10/100/1000 copper
Ethernet ports and the option of basic or enhanced (Plus)
features.
Featuring plug-and-play installation, these compact switches
are ideal for small businesses or enterprise offices where networking expertise
isn't readily available and space is at a premium. With FCC Class B approval,
they are also approved for use in home office and residential
neighborhoods.
3Com OfficeConnect Gigabit Switch 8 and Gigabit Switch 5
and 3Com OfficeConnect Switch 8 with Gigabit Uplink significantly boost
small-office network performance with 10/100/1000 Mbps connections, supporting
both high-power servers and users as well as older standard Ethernet
connections. Advanced features include auto MDI/MDIX and 802.1p traffic
prioritization.
3Com OfficeConnect Dual Speed Switch 16 Plus,
OfficeConnect Dual Speed Switch 8 Plus, and OfficeConnect Dual Speed Switch 5
Plus offer additional features and flexibility, such as a clipping system for
easier stacking, support for traffic prioritization, and auto MDI/MDIX on every
port for simple configuration.
3Com OfficeConnect Switch 8 and
OfficeConnect Switch 5 provide basic 10/100 switching with five and eight
autosensing ports, respectively. They deliver seamless 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX
connections to users, servers, or a LAN backbone.
10/100 and 10/100/1000 autosensing capability on all switch ports
automatically detects the speed of the attached device to optimize network
performance
Full-duplex operation automatically doubles the transmission throughput (up
to 2000 Mbps for Gigabit connection)
